Visited Arlene's with my boyfriend on a Monday Night as we wanted to hear the live band Karaoke and my boyfriend is a good singer. The bar prices were reasonable with a Spirit and Draft Mixer for about $8. The staff were very pleasant and...More
As per the title The most ignorant bar staff I ever encountered. Went to Arlenes Monday 7th November to see the live band karaoke. Greeted by a nice man on the door, that's the only positive we came away with. Sour faced girl behind the...More
Great smaller venue in the east village for local live music nightly. I've done many shows here and it's always fun. It's separated down the middle with a bar and stage on one side and a bar and lounge on the other side. Always a...More

We saw a Live In Theater production here (see my review) and got half price drinks after the performance. What a great bar! Pices are reasonable, service is quite friendly, very cozy informal atmosphere. We loved it.

Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment
shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
