I was looking for something to do with my 17 year old cousin from Connecticut and I thought a trip to the Seaport would be fun as it's becoming more and more popular (can't wait for the new Pier to open). We looked online and...More

For meager fee of $12 we got an hour long informative tour of the vessels at the Seaport. Katie was very knowledgeable. Not all of the museum has reopened from the ravages of Super Storm Sandy. The available displays were very interesting.

This area was redeveloped a number of years ago to attract the tourists with its sea port style. Many of the restaurants and shops here are chains so they could be anywhere. I come here for the TKTS booth, but for nothing else.

Chock full of shops and eateries, coupled with interesting nautical displays and a museum...its a nice place to spend a day, you can also catch the Circle Line ferry around Manhattan here. Indoor and outdoor mall with many good attractions.

A sorry excuse for a seaport. So lets hope the new one will be exciting and worthy of visitors and locals alike
