- LeonhknyHong Kong, China14,204 contributionsThe most famous parkYes, this is Central Park, New York City's most famous greenery. After decades of depiction in books, films and artworks, it is still a lovely place that evokes literary and artistic imagination. The huge urban park offers everything to satisfy everyone. A stroll along waterfront trails to appreciate the beauty of Big Apple is a life-changing experience. Do devote enough time here!Visited December 2022Written 12 December 2022
- WinstonKocani, Republic of North Macedonia7 contributionsHUGE city park with lots of great views and famous spots.Set aside a couple of hours or more if you have the time. Do some research and find out all the sights you want to see at the Park. The paths are rather confusing as they meander through the Park, so don't go in a hurry. The location is near lots of other major sights in Manhattan, including museums and shopping. Plan the day before you go. Have fun!Visited August 2022Written 15 December 2022
- Rene CLong Beach, California19 contributionsAmazing to look atWhile it is a HUGE park to walk around. It is definitely well worth it. Bring your walking shoes and take in all the beauty of this place. My wife and I truly enjoyed it. Despite a little rain, it was definitely well worth the time.Visited December 2022Written 16 December 2022
- Tom D5 contributionsMust Do!Central Park was stunning, very clean and well kept. Due to it being December and quite cold the park wasn't as busy as normal and this allowed us to wonder around the park freely without rushing. The views of the sky scrapers are amazing from here, and there is a lovely cafe and restaurant in the park which did very nice coffee and pastries. If your a bit of a movie buff there are various sites that were used for filming In home alone 2. Top tip look for gapstow Bridge, the water fountain and plaza hotel. Also the cheesy pretzels from the little cart were delicious. This is something you need to do when visiting New York CityVisited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 December 2022
- DJ D.A.Vero Beach, Florida9 contributionsPark of ParksPark was amazing. I chose a bike tour instead of the horse & carriage & it was nice. The driver was amazing & had a lot of history & information on the park. He even stopped at a few stops to take pictures.Visited December 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 December 2022
- Theo VAmsterdam, The Netherlands925 contributionsalways a pleasure to walk n Central ParkAlso in winter time this park is a pleasure to be in. Though the traffic of NYC is not that far away you seem to be in a place of peace and quiet, if only the other people wouldn't be there :) You have to be careful not to be harmed by bike-taxi or horse carriage. All very romantic perhaps, and also creating busy traffic in the park. Nevertheless: thanks to the views, the atmosphere in the middle of NYC, it is a mesmerizing experience.Visited December 2022Written 31 December 2022
- holidayhoney65Chessington, United Kingdom1,192 contributionsA must go to when visiting the cityWe did a pedicab round the park with a guide which was amazing as not only did we get to see a lot of the park but he gave us all the history and off course film locations while we went round. The park is huge and absolutely beautiful and you can't quite believe there is such an oasis in this bustling city. Whether you walk, ride a bike, go via pedicab or horse and cart the park is a must visit. We were pleased to see all the horses that were waiting had blankets on and where being fed and watered. So many places to see that you will recognise and we also got to stop at the Imagine memorial to pay our respect and remember. We visited in December the weather was dry and sunny but you still need to wrap up at that time of the year. We had a fabulous couple of hours exploring and it we had had more time would have stopped for a bite to eat and explored more but with only 4 days in the city and so much to see we moved on to the next attraction. I should imagine the park in the summer is absolutely beautiful we loved it even in the depths of winter.Visited December 2022Written 2 January 2023
- Dan RChicago, Illinois47 contributionsBeautiful! It’s a NYC classic. This park is absolutely enormous with very beautiful landscapes. One can spend the entire day walking through the park and could only scratch the surface. There are several buildings and monuments in the park to explore and there are a few public restrooms as well. Some parts of the park require one to be fully ambulatory to explore.Visited November 2022Written 2 January 2023
- perrypickerign105 contributionsCentrally LocatedCentral Park is Centrally located on Manhattan. It is easy to get to and is rich in history. Mot movies that take place in NYC have some scene or reference to Central Park. You can take a nature break and enjoy some trees and grass and nature and walk a block and then get Starbucks coffee or visit the Museum of art or Natural History. It provides an escape and yet provides quick access to restaurants and urban life.Visited December 2022Written 3 January 2023
- Rachel12269 contributionsGreat Park, beware the Pedicab!I had to give this an average review, which is not reflective of the park itself, which is awesome, but the pedicabs should be researched thoroughly before commitment. Before we got into the pedicab we were sure of the price, the duration, and what we would see. When we disembarked he got his price list out and was charging us x3 what we had agreed. It turned into quite an unpleasant exchange in the middle of the street with him shouting f u at us repeatedly, when in fact the issue was that he was unclear when he advised on the price. So, aside from that experience Central Park is not to be missed, it will take a considerable time to see everything, so plan ahead.Visited December 2022Written 4 January 2023

Taking into account it's December. The park is a lovely place to see the new York skyline behind. I was surprised a road run through. Very busy.

We had a brief walk round here, but I feel I have barely scratched the surface. It’s gigantic! Started off at the Strawberry Fields area as I had visited where John Lennon used to live, but there was little to see apart from a truly awful tone-deaf busker. So we hastily moved on and spent an hour walking around. It’s a pretty amazing place really. Next time we’re in NYC, we will explore more. The horse-drawn carriages and pedicabs are very expensive and we decided not to treat ourselves this time.

Central Park is like a really well-designed city oasis. It's a place where nature and human creativity come together smoothly. What makes it cool isn't just how big it is, but all the different things you can do there. Whether you want some quiet time, fun activities, or to learn new stuff, Central Park has got it all. It's like a precious treasure in the middle of the busy city that's always awake.

I love this park and still don't feel like I've seen everything in it. It's very quite and peaceful and a great place to get away from the noise of times square etc

I absolutely love NYC. There is so much to do, and remarkably, getting to spend some time in nature is among the choices! Central Park is such a large and beautiful oasis - it is amazing to realize someone had the foresight to set aside this huge parcel of land for all to enjoy for decades to come. On this visit, it was a crisp and sunny day, perfect for walking. The fall colors were at their peak. Pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend fitting a visit to Central Park into your plans!

Beautiful park. Tons of trails. Loved the castle. At the top there are stunning views of the surrounding grounds. Plenty of benches to rest if needed.

You can use the city bikes, there are a lot of drop site but you need to install an app on your smart phone. Otherwise there is also that place near the southern part of Central Park : bike rental central park
Only one question.
WHY Shakespeare monument is inscribed at the back of the base not at the front???
Monument is located at the Literary Walk.
Thanks!

hi,
Central Pak is very easy to find; there's à lot of entrance all around the park. You can choose one of the entrance located along 5th avenue. But, the best way to enter the park is at columbus circle. Central park start at 59th street(south and finish at 110th street(north). The most touristic part off the park is located beetween 59th et 79th street.
Hope It will help us

There were beautiful flowers throughout our walk. It’s hard to say where exactly you can find the best. I did find help with workers who drive around in carts. They can tell you where the best spots are.

Central park is 10 minutes by foot! But it depends to which place at central park you wanna go because the park is so so so so big! Otherwise, you can take the C (blue) line to UPTOWN & QUEENS. One good station for the centre of central park is 81 street - museum of natural history. Have a nice day.
