This is my favorite museum in New York City. It has a lot of art from the last two centuries from great artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Dali. It is worth buying the ticket with the Top of the Rock.

Huge yet intimate building with lots to explore, great facilities and convenient charging points for phones so you can keep up with the guided tours. Great views of gardens make even the window spaces a piece of art. Went in winter bit would be fantastic in summer for an all day activity.

Was able to visit the MoMA with my family. It was the day after Thanksgiving so you would imagine the amount of people that was there. We arrived at about 4:30 and it was packed to the roof, nevertheless we enjoy it very much as it was well organized and even with a lot of people we were able to... More

No admission is charged on Fridays between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. but be prepared to fight your way through throngs of people! The highlight for us was the original of Van Gogh's Starry Night. It is beautiful! The collections are spread over several floors (there are elevators and escalators) so you could spend hours here if you wanted to... More

I am not a big fan of modern art or architecture but went with friends who very much are. My only insistence was to attend during their free friday nights (4-8pm) to save on something that was not on my to do list. This was a great saving for the 3 of us. The line to enter on a free... More

I went to this museum because my daughter is an art student. We've been to different museums but this one is the best for me because i can really relate to this. I think because it's contemporary but i also like the Louvre, Versailles in Paris but this is contemporary and i've enjoyed it. I guess, it's not as big... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
