Moma is always worth visiting. I don't always like modern art. But their collection of impressionist and surrealist art is world class. Van Gogh, Monet, Seurat, and other masters. I've been so many times and lost count. I'll keep coming back.

We loved all the different works of art from the collection on the 5th floor. You can see Picasso, Dalí, Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Pollock...all at the same time! It's amazing. The pop art collection was not so much of my preference, but there are a lot of pieces to see as well. Very nice to end up your... More

Just go! There's something for every art aficionado. It's worth going just to see Van Gogh's Starry Night, but there's so much more. The current special exhibit on the top floor is outstanding.

As an artist myself, I've been wanting to visit the MoMA for years and was certainly not disappointed. When I visited they were exhibiting a series of photographs by Nan Goldin which I didn't know about, so I was extremely excited! I saw several artists' work who I have studied in the past such as Khalo, Warhol, Nauman and several... More

We were blown away by this wonderful museum. So large and diversified. Six floors of exhibits of a range of art from French impressionists to photography including video. Also has several high end restaurants. We enjoyed lunch at the Cafe which had not only great entrees but also wine, beer and other beverages.

We spent four interesting hours here. It is modern art so not everything appealed but there were well known pieces (The Starry Night, Waterlilies...) that will appeal to every one. We thought it was good value at $25 each.

It is a huge museum with exhibitions on six levels, so make sure you have enough time to enjoy it. Nice café, too! Especially enjoyed the 1960's art.

You can get lost in NYC's museum scene. There are a million galleries, museums all over town and then there's all the wonderful street art. It's a lot to take in. However, I have always found The MoMA a great place to start. The reference points are a bit easier to digest and I am completely in love with all... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
