A Great Experience!

This museum is easy to find and everyone was very friendly. Everyone visiting the city should take an hour or two to wander thru just to see the displays.

My daughter has great interests in Van Gogh's, so we planned to take her to see Starry Nights in person. When we got there, we enjoyed the museum a lot. Our family loved their big range of variety of arts and something for everyone's taste. We spent couple hours to explore and stop for lunch in the gallery cafe. Food... More

Loved this place. If you are looking for a variety of Art and have hours to take it all in. Go late morning and stop for lunch in the restaurant. It was easily my favourite lunch of my trip. So delicious I'm still thinking about it. (I'm vegetarian) I had the sage gnocchi with butternut and steamed baby broccoli. The... More

My best advice for attending this museum is to go early during the week. I had family that went on a Friday during their free Fridays and the lines were ridiculously long and the museum was very crowded. I went on a Friday morning about 10 o'clock and there were not that many people. Starry night is on the fifth... More

What a wonderful place- so interesting to see actual pyramids and be able to touch them and so many other artifacts. So many masters are there - don't miss the fashion exhibit in the lower level- great array of Monet, Manet, Sargent, Renoir- wow- overload on beauty !

MoMA (pay what you will Fri 4-8 PM) or make a day of it. Excellent art and exhibits! I would say a MUST SEE! In addition to the galleries, look for the listings of the films they are showing (some first run and Oscar contenders others classics) that are included in your ticket price. Also take advantage of the mobile... More

We spent an afternoon here, level 5 was the best, it has many classic works of modern art. Make sure that you get an audio guide, you can just simply type in the number of the work and hear a brief summary of it. The current Picabia exhibit is well worth a visit and is included in the admission. The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
