Top ways to experience Rockefeller Center
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Just fun to walk around and watch the skaters and such (check out the Christmas tree if you're there from mid-Nov to the end of the year!).

Eye candy

The Rockefeller Center was amazing; the stores, eateries, murals, were amazing. You recognize many sights you have seen on tv and you get the little kid feeling inside. A must visit in NYC.

A Stunning Part of Town
Nov. 2021
I do recommend taking the tour which is terrific. But at the very least, wander throughout the entire little city and admire the splendid art on the walls and in the design. Go inside. It's all brilliant.

MUST DO WHEN IN NY
Nov. 2021
We wanted to see the view, but luckily we turned up when the sun was setting and it was beautiful! The only thing was it was an extra $10 due to the spectacular view! It was definitely worth every penny though. The only problem was it was super busy and people were just standing in the way, and being a bit selfish, as there were lots of people trying to squeeze through to take pictures and things.. but that’s obviously it the Rockerfellers fault! But you can also spend as much time as you like up there so there’s not a problem in waiting for a good shot! We also caught a glimpse of Julia Roberts who was going into the studios next door so keep your eyes peeled if you ever visit! It’s a must see if you are coming to NY, as you can see everything from up the top! All the staff were super friendly and helpful though too.

Very interesting hour and a half walking tour in NYC.
Walking tour of Rockefeller Center in NYC and surrounds with Jonathan, our guide, was a treat. His knowledge of the architecture and art in the buildings that comprise Rockefeller Center was unexpectedly interesting.

Learned a lot about Rockefeller Center
Nov. 2021
Very informative and interesting tour. Debbie, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned about the artwork around the center, and the history of the buildings, and their namesake. I would recommend this tour.

Stunning art and sculptural details worth seeing and enjoying!
Oct. 2021
A visit to 30 Rockefeller Center (now the Comcast Building) is a must-see site for everyone. Just a walk through it to see the beautiful interior and the murals is worth it. Walk around it. Check out the sculptural friezes over the main doors. And don't forget to check out the Plaza and the "Golden" Prometheus (by Paul Manship). All of the surrounding buildings are also part of the Rockefeller Center complex. They all have some stunning art and sculptural details worth seeing and enjoying!

The heart of NYC
Jul. 2021
This is the heart of New York City, the city which never sleeps. I would love to see it during the winter period to skate on the famous ice rink!
