What a monster of a building - one of many buildings to see in New York. Just up from the Central Station and Bryant Park

When we were recently in NY, we could never really get lost from our hotel as it was just along the street from Chrysler Building so at night especially when it was all lit up, we used it as a beacon go get back to...More

Nothing special about this building, except for the fact that its dome resembles some Chrysler radiator. I don't think this is a tourist place, but it gives good view of its top from the street.

I love this building above all other in New York. It is a shame that you cannot get further the lobby and there is no viewing platform. Do not come away from NY without at least seeing it up close.

It seems as if this building is more seen than most tall buildings in NYC given it's location close to the highest tourist attractions. A great guide if your compass of where you are at gets confusing. A beautiful structure far away and up close....More

Although you can't get beyond the lobby unless you work or have business there, the lobby is incredibly beautiful and well worth a few minutes if you enjoy art deco architecture as I do.

I don't make that statement flippantly, I just love the Chrysler building, and I'd love a tour inside, but that has never happened, its so iconic, and even though I have seen many icons this is my favorite in the whole world.

This building is beautiful and at night when lit is gorgeous. It is a must see and is a sort of prettier sister of the Empire State in my opinion .

Had to see this building on our trip and it did not disappoint. Loved the art deco theme inside the building.

Fabulous art deco lobby. Worth a look. You can't go up the lifts as the building is used for offices, but the lobby area is a public place.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors

the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building,
iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal
and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop
hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is
a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of

The viewing deck at the Chrysler Building has been closed for decades, so get your Manhattan views either at 30 Rock or the Empire State, or the magnificent One World Trade observatory downtown. BUT, don't miss the Chrysler... More

Bear in mind that any building you go up will not have that building in the view, so I would recommend going up the rock or one world, as you'll want the Chrysler or the empire state in your view. And eat somewhere else... More
