Amazing that the public are allowed into this building as it is a place of work. Really worth taking a trip to admire the well preserved architecture and fittings, if you are in the vicinity. It is like being on a film set.

You can just walk into the lobby of the Chrysler Building to see the wonderful Art Deco. The whole lobby is stunning, with beautiful light fittings, panelling on the walls and the ceiling, and even inside the lifts. The rest of the building is just...More

Only the lobby area is open to the public but it is well worth a visit to see some of the most amazing Art Deco design and craftsmanship in the world. 80 years on it is still absolutely stunning. If only all buildings had this...More

I always wanted to go to the top. Unfortunately it was closed in 1945. Looks like I was 71 years late. A quick walk through the ground floor revealed how splendid it's Art Deco décor is.

Its a must-see, the architecture of the building is astonishing and the view to the city that doesn't sleep is one of the best in town.

Visited NYC in July 2009 & May 2010. Really like the design at the top of the building. Almost resembles scales on mermaid's tale from Starbucks. Never went up, but you can see it he Chrysler building from various streets in NY.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors

the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building,
iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal
and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop
hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is
a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of

The viewing deck at the Chrysler Building has been closed for decades, so get your Manhattan views either at 30 Rock or the Empire State, or the magnificent One World Trade observatory downtown. BUT, don't miss the Chrysler... More

Bear in mind that any building you go up will not have that building in the view, so I would recommend going up the rock or one world, as you'll want the Chrysler or the empire state in your view. And eat somewhere else... More
