We were excited to see the falls, and I will say they are very pretty. But it's a bit of a drive from Carlsbad and walking to the falls is easy and takes 3-4 min. You can hike to the top of the falls which is pretty steep, but it is short. It took us around 20 min to get... More

Went out to the falls. Weren't sure what to expect. Nice place. Easy access to the falls. Pretty clean water. They had very little rain so falls were not real big but still pretty. Probably a lot bigger after some rain. I'd recommend for couples and families. There were families there with kids and teenagers and they seemed to be... More

The drive to the falls was very enjoyable. The park needs a face life as most of the information boards are hard to read and need to be updated. The walk to the falls is short and very easy. Nice place to visit and have a picnic but probably won't spend a great deal of time.

This was a nice drive from the KOA we stayed at. The drive was worth it. The park needs to be updated. The signs are hard to read and the pass information is very outdated. The walk to the falls is easy even for those with limited distance. You can go right to the water and enjoy the falls. It... More

This hidden gem is a definitely a paradise out in the desert. Oh no, this is no mirage, there's truly water falls here. This nationally mantained park is really nice and perfect for a family outing, or really, any outing. Especially during the Spring and Summer months. They're made it to where the bottom part of the falls is handicap... More

A rather long drive through seemingly unending country before you reach Lincoln Forest Park. It is then 7 miles to the falls through amazing, awesome and magnificent canyon country. We were there in the dry season so falls not too full but beautiful for all that. Easy paved path to the falls and a rather challenging track to the top... More

Long drive through arid land will surprise you with a beautifully built and maintained picnic area. A short walk on a paved path will direct you to Sitting Bull Falls. Walk around the area and you will find small clear pools as well as small falls. a karst formation can be seen there ( when the outside wall of a... More

We went to this site just about an hour out of Carlsbad, NM. They have a nice parking lot with lots of covered picnic areas and restrooms. It is a short walk to the falls or for the more adventurous, a person could hike to the top of the falls - we opted to not do the hike but rather... More

The vistas on the way are as beautiful as the falls. The walk to the Falls is an easy one, not a hike. Plan on wearing good shoes because you will want to walk below the falls on the rocks. Be sure to have gasoline and food. There are other hiking opportunities.

Kinda far, mostly worth it. It took us a while to get out there, so we needed a potty break. There were faucets, but no running water. All that aside, the falls were pretty and much taller than I would have thought. They say you can swim there, but that water was COLD. I had a nice time
