We enjoyed the aquarium. Lots of beautiful fish. My favorite part was the sea turtle sanctuary where they were helping injured sea turtles. The staff come out and told us about the each turtle’s story.

We have visited this Aquarium many times, but yesterday was extraordinary! The short programs offered to visitors were enjoyed by all - turtles (yes, including a live one) yesterday, and unusual critters today. My granddaughter met a rose tarantula, hog-nosed snake, and tiger salamander and...More

We have now visited all three NC aquariums and we were highly impressed with the Roanoke Island Aquarium. The sea turtle rehabilitation center and the large aquarium, were my favorites. The kids of course, loved the touch tanks. If you are visiting the outer banks...More

Great place for all ages. Exhibits were well done. We especially enjoyed the jellyfish tanks. They have touching pools and there is a cool hands-on turtle hospital (with fake turtles) for kids to learn about injury/illness and subsequent treatment. It took about 1 1/2 hours...More

We knew it would be small but it was more fun then expected. We did the behind the scenes tour called Shark Bites. We fed the fish and had front row view of the shark feeding. It was well worth $12 each.

We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the laid back environment. Beautiful waterfront view! Also loved seeing the Sea Turtles and learning about their program for rehab and release for the injured or sick guys.

Once I learned about the Pea Island Life Savers I wanted to visit this particular aquarium because of the Black History connection it has. Richard Etheridge was the leader of the first all black life saving regimen on the Outer Banks. His family owned the...More

We wanted to see the expansion at the aquarium and it did not disappoint. It was wonderful and well worth the trip. We will return.

I have not been there since the renovation. Old aquarium took 1 hr to 1-1/2 hours. I do not know if they have reopened.

I guess it is closed for renovations. I think it re-opens on June 11. You should probably call them for details. Sorry you had to miss it, but plan to visit it on your next trip. It is great!
