With this trip we have now seen all three NC State aquariums. This location is definitely the smallest of the three. We didn't get a chance to do any of the scheduled activities other then the shark feeding, which is always popular. For NC residents,...More

We went to the aquarium on a stormy day and it was very nice. It wasn't a huge aquarium but we got to touch Stingrays and saw where they rehabilitate sea turtles. They had many activities going on throughout the day at different times. We...More

We visit the aquarium every year. My kids (13 and 11) absolutely love the turtle rescue area. The trick to an enjoyable visit is NOT to go when its raining. If you do, you will be miserable because it will be packed to the gills...More

We visited last weekend with two teens. Plenty to do at a great price. The kids loved the nature area as much as the aquarium itself. Cafe has reasonable prices as well and snack-bar type food. Very close to other cool attractions (Elizabethan Gardens, Fort...More

This is a smaller aquarium geared towards kids. Loved the location and the introduction into a lot of things on a small level. The admission price is great. I was hoping to see more exhibits. But, we still enjoyed it. Loved the outside pier and...More

My ten year old and eight year old loved the visit to the aquarium. It was crowded but it's big enough to work around people. We especially loved the sea turtle rehabilitation room. There is an interactive sea turtle hospital where kids can 'treat' a...More

I have not been there since the renovation. Old aquarium took 1 hr to 1-1/2 hours. I do not know if they have reopened.

I guess it is closed for renovations. I think it re-opens on June 11. You should probably call them for details. Sorry you had to miss it, but plan to visit it on your next trip. It is great!
