Wonderful piece of Architecture to walk thru as you enter Balboa Park. Created for the 1915 Expo, the bridge still looks great and even better when you get up close and can see the details.

My daughter and crossed this bridge six times walking in and out of Balboa Park from Hillcrest. It is the best way to get into the park from the west, along El Prado. It is spectacular in its construction and was built for the 1915...More

Cabrillo bridge crosses Highway 163 and is the west entrance to Balboa Park. Walk the bridge for great views of downtown San Diego and just to watch the traffic whiz by on the 163 located a great distance below (40 feet would be my guess)....More

Walk or drive, but enjoy around the holidays when it's lit up! Great view of the area, crossing the 163 from the Balboa Park lawns on 6th avenue to the center of Balboa Park (Prado, museums, etc.).

We walked across this bridge after having dinner at Cucina Urbana. We were going to the Fine Art Gallery for their last Friday night late opening of the summer. It is a lovely way to walk across into the park from I think Laurel Street....More
