Balboa Park was a real surprise as were many of the historic Spanish buildings in the park of which this was one. There are many interesting places to visit but most require a fee to enter. There are bus services from downtown to balboa park or just walk up the hill.

And the Casa del Prado across the lot. The former hosts many museums and is pretty closed in the later has lots going on in the house - tap dancing class in one of the rooms, Musical practice in another - I then found out these were Summer Camp activities! Nice Buildings with multiple purposes.

While waking through balboa park after leaving the zoo- we came across really beautiful buildings. This was definitely one of them. I felt like I was back in Spain with the beautiful architecture and design of many buildings in the park.

We visit the Ruben Fleet Space Museum and like to stop at this place for wine. It is quite crowded -- especially during Happy Hour but the food, drink and service are all very good.

What is there to review but the fact if your not from San Diego, Balboa Park and all its old buildings are beautiful to visit. The park is well maintained with ample parking and ample room for strollers, bikes, and pets. The museum exhibits very from month to month. The Ruben H. Fleet is a great place for kids to... More

Casa de Balboa is a great place to visit alone, with a friend, with your family. It is situated in beautiful Balboa Park and has a 100+ year history. Plan to spend the day there. Visit any of the museums, take in a concert at the Organ Pavilion... Take a picnic, or dine in the Prado Restaurant. It truly is... More

We met a group of friends (4 adults and 2 teens) that were in town on vacation from Milan, Italy. They as well as my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch we had and the service that we received at Casa de Balboa. The location in the park is close to museums and the zoo. All in all it... More

Casa de Balboa in Balboa Park houses several of the Park's museums. In particular is the Museum of Photographic Aarts which is offering "7 Billion Others" - an exhibit of interviews with 6,000 people worldwide. The documentary covers a wide range of topics showing what divides and unites us. Also in the same building of interest is the Railroad Museum.....even... More
