There are only 2 more performances so don't miss it! This a totally stellar performance with an outstanding cast orchestra and maestro who deftly kept everyone on track in this difficult Verdi piece The comic aspects of this opera were acted out so well in voice and physicality that the audience was kept laugh by and smiling till the end... I was in the audience for the opening night of Tosca. It was fabulous and David Bennet the General Director of the Opea Company was an incredible speaker and entertainer. Every break an happy hour and many moments to socialize. Can't wait to go there again.

in my opinion, this opera company vies for first place among really good opera companies .they are inventive, have great productions and are wonderful to their subscribers. their education program for students is top notch including having students attend final dress rehearsals through a grant at no cost to the students or the school systems. i jsut saw a toscca... The orchestra at its best, the chorus sublime, the conductor's talents, the performers outstanding voices...a world class event for us all. Thank you board, donors, musicians, performers, and staff for all you did to create this tribute to classical music.

Over the last five years,I have attended five or six operas produced by this company, and have generally been very pleased. I recently made a trip here to see Mozart's "Don Giovanni," which is probably my personal favorite. The performance was well-sung, with some attractive singers in all of the principal roles, and definitely worth the trip. The exciting part... More

Who knew that an eccentric and elderly knight would steal my heart on a Sunday afternoon at the San Diego Opera? Ferruccio Furlanetto did just that as he played the part of Don Quixote in the opera by Jules Massenet. I suppose I was enchanted with the man as he fought tilting windmills and bandits in the desert to recover... More

I have enjoyed every performance I attended. Great work! I was amused at "Dialogs of the Carmelites" when the supertitles translated all the French to English, but left the Latin in Latin. Thankfully I know Latin, but doubt whether many other attendees did.

I was in San Diego for a conference, and one night went to the opera. I went to see Murder in the Cathedral... Ugh, what a mediocre work That being true, the production and singing were world class. One thing that really angered me, however, was when I bought a ticket online, the company added an automatic donation... That's a... More

A not-oft-performed opera, "Murder in the Cathedral," was the reason for the trip, a Sunday afternoon performance. The opera itself was great, but attending in San Diego was itself a delight, wonderful theater, wonderful intermission ambience, hope I shall find more operas there to suit my taste and merit the trip.

Thank John J
