Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved visiting the rose garden. I wasn't sure if they would still be blooming this time of year, but we were greeted with a beautiful riot of color. The roses are well maintained, and there's a pretty fountain in the middle of the garden. I appreciate that the plants are labelled by name so you know which varieties you're viewing. Definitely worth a stroll for those who appreciate natural beauty, and best of all it's free.

Wow - what a surprise to see so many beautiful rose blooms in one area. The variety of rose colors, types and smells is never ending. We enjoyed our slow stroll through the garden. If you like roses this is the must stop for you.

Beautiful garden with so many roses. The scent was intoxicating. And beyond the Rose and Cactus gardens is an eagle-eye view of the natural landscape preserve. It's a quick stroll located just beyond the fountain at Balboa Park. It is worth the time if you appreciate nature.

This is a splendid Rose garden. A lot of different species, all of them very well cared off, make a beautiful and incredible scenario. The garden is located near the natural history museum, at balboa park, but on the other side of the road.

Visit the Rose Garden in the morning to start you day at Balboa Park. The roses smell best under the early morning sun and the garden is quiet. The garden is located across Park Street from the Science museum and easy parking can be found right on Park street. Like almost all gardens in Balboa park, the rose garden is free. We visited the garden in June and the garden was at its peak. Find the Julia Childs rose, it smells like bananas.

Thrill your eyes and your sense of smell with a quick trip to this garden on the east side of Balboa Park. It’s very close by the Prada and adjacent to the desert garden.

This rose garden is so beautiful and well maintained. I immediately came home and bought a sugar moon rose, based on how much I loved their fragrance!

Could have been more creatively displayed. The center of the trellis area needed some attention. Beautiful area but not very extensive.

The rose and cactus garden and is a beautiful place to visit if you're in Balboa Park. My friends and I spent about an hour just roaming through the park. It's also free which you can't beat.

Where can you find variety of roses blooming year round? This Balboa Park garden is easily accessible from the main part of Balboa Park by a bridge near the Natural History Museum that goes over Park Ave. For a sight and smell break, take a short stroll in this well-maintained rose garden.
