"A must see" attraction if you're going to this beautiful city:)! The volunteers are so friendly and helpful; loads of good stories to tell. Retired veterans around to tell their story; just absolutely a marvellous experience.

Impressive setup with all the different aircraft and many displays aboard the ship. There was a WWII Children POW survivors presentation while we were on board. We stopped and talked to two of the survivors of these Japanese POW camps for children. Very touching!

A fascinating and amazing machine that is now relegated to the pages of history! We were fortunate to witness a sendoff to a retiring Commander of the US Navy.

What an awesome display! Easily plan on a full day here, 2 if you like to hear from and talk to many of the docents about their knowledge and experiences!

Very interesting, find the wonderful employees/volunteers because they will show you to the tours and are very helpful in answering any questions you may have. Go early in the day because some of the areas are small and hot.

The massiveness of the ship will leave you speechless. It definitely is a working city. 16 planes, 4 helicopters on the main deck with about 10 more plans on the lower deck. Your walking tour is well laid out or you can take an audio...More

We did a private docent tour for a party of 9 with Docent Bob. I can say enough about how he spent so much time with us and our two 90+ year old WW2 veterans we brought with us. WE had 2 wheelchairs in the...More

Yes, I'm sure that would be no problem. We were checked for weapons, not for food or beverages.
