Located in downtown San Diego, the USS Midway (Museum) was America’s longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Today, the interactive museum is an unforgettable adventure for the entire family as guests walk in the footsteps of the 225,000 young men who served on Midway. Visitors explore a floating city at sea, the amazing flight deck and its 29 restored aircraft, flight simulators, and are inspired in the Battle of Midway Theater, included with admission. Admission also includes a self-guided audio tour narrated by Midway sailors in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Japanese, French and German. Visiting Midway is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in San Diego, known around the world as "Navy Town, USA."

I visited the USS Midway Museum in November 2017 and it was a very good experience. I was surprised how big it is, and how much there is to see. If you have an interest in aircrafts, ships and second world war, this is the...More

Had 3 hrs to do this and we ran out of time. AMazingly huge ship and to hear the audio tour spots takes time. The size of the main flight deck, hangar deck, the city below the hangar deck, and the command bridge tours all...More

Great experience - be prepared for lots of ladders (but well worth the climb) The guides were excellent; very knowledgable & passionate about sharing the history of the ship

Take you time and spend 2-3 hrs. Lots of aircraft to see and the walking tour of the boat is very informative.

Very interesting tour and a good way to spend a couple of hours. Buy your tickets online to avoid the ticket line. Some areas had steep steps which some older people may find difficult.

This is a great place to visit with kids. We did the junior wings program this year and we were all over the ship getting finding more facts and the kids were learning without knowing it. Lots of learning for mom and dad too. Visiting...More

We spent nearly 4 hours touring the Midway and could have used an extra hour. The volunteers were all friendly and eager to answer questions. Our 3 kids (aged 12, 10, and 9) enjoyed the tour.

The day I went on the Midway was a good day. I went to inside, and I experienced different areas, but my favorites were the sleeping quarters for the ship's crew and the deck, where various aircraft were located. Those who visit should definitely have...More

Don’t plan on a short visit or being in and out quickly. I would say to see all of this you’ll need a full day. This is a crowded ship even on weekdays. The cost is $20.00 per person or you can get an annual...More

Had previously visited USS Intrepid in New York. Free audio tour is a must - lots of stations to see & hear. It wasn’t too busy today - so access to all the areas was simple, uncluttered and not a squeeze. Flight deck has an...More

Yes, there are no lockers on the ship as far as I know. But the guys/staff there are super helpful and I think if you tell them your ordeal, they are going to find a way! Hope you enjoy the tour ! (:

Tour the bridge first. That takes about 30 minutes. With the remainder of the time stroll by the planes on top deck. If you have time left, walk through the other sections labeled in yellow 1-33 with the headset and stop... More
