An excellent day out with lots of ex-Navy guys around to answer questions. I'm an engineer so I really enjoyed the planes, engine room and all the details but my wife and 12 year old daughter had a great day too.

An historic monument. Big guns jets helicopters, large runway and takeoff area. One of the greatest moment in my life

Wonderful museum that gives a view of life aboard a US Navy Ship. Lots of exhibits where you can touch and sit on to see how it was like aboard the ship. History, war, Navy and Airplane enthusiasts will find plenty to see here.

Spent 3 hours on an extremely well organised exhibit. We just followed the signs with the audio tour and then took the optional bridge tour - well worth it. The highlight for me were the volunteers who had served on carriers and really knew their stuff and were happy to answer any questions you might have. You can also do... More

Too crowded unless you get into line early and suits the veterans and their grandkids but not the millennials so much.

We were very impressed with the audio tour of this amazing facility. It helped educate us and gave us a better appreciation of the rigors and hardships of navy life. This is a "must see" for all citizens to get a better understand of military life and the sacrifices made.

We had a half day to see something in San Diego and my husband picked the Midway. Our 4 teenagers had a ball. Fabulous attraction, we could have spent a whole day. Volunteers are fascinating and the whole thing was delightful. Also reasonably priced, without 20 gift shops!

This was a great experience. The volunteers were so awesome to meet. Veterans who actually were on the ship or another aircraft carrier. They really took the time to explain how the aircraft carrier worked. It was especially interesting to learn about how the jets had to land and catch the wire and how to look for the meatball light.... More

This museum is amazing for so many reasons. First and foremost it continues to be a living part of our American history and its importance thereof. The ship is massive and is manned by wonderful folks who obviously take tremendous pride in sharing their stories about their time on this ship. Brings it to life in so many wonderful ways.
