Was my granddaughter's first major league baseball game as well as her mom, son's girlfriend, and son. We all had a blast at the game despite the Padres losing. Will definitely attend another game when we are back in San Diego.

This was a fun place. You enter the ballpark and there is a park attached where people can sit to watch the game. People were playing ping pong; there was a sand area for kids to play and even an area for dogs. We enjoyed...More

Great time at the ball game in a suite with the wife and many friends. Petco is one of the nicest ballparks in the country but just wish they had a good baseball team because the park is stunning!

While visiting, we took in a ballgame. The tickets were reasonable priced and you can bring in your own snacks. You can ride the lite rail or park in one of the many garages. If staying close enough, you can walk.

I am a baseball fan. This is a gorgeous park. They've done some extensive upgrades in the past couple of seasons. Also, they allow outside and even homemade food into the park through appropriate bag-check lines. Only liquid allowed is single-use sealed 12oz water bottles....More

We host business events at the stadium every year and have done so just about since the venue opened. It's very nice, easily accessible and tickets are priced well. There are a number of restaurants in the area which are easy to walk to from...More

Petco is fabulous with great food, bars and activities for both children and adults. The jumbotrons are easy to see and there is always something fun to watch. I just wish the Padres could win a few games...

This was the last of the thirty current major-league parks for us to visit (we'd been to its Padres predecessor, The Murph, but never this one), and we caught it as part of a package deal that included not just a game but also a...More

I recently visited a Padres game during beerfest and it was so much fun! Lots of different beers to try, a great park and watching the Padres play made for an outstanding evening!

Even if you aren't a baseball fan, Petco offers a wonderful atmosphere for everyone. I would highly recommend checking out a game while in San Diego.

Is it safe to walk to Petco Park (and back to my hotel) for an evening game? I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown which doesn't look too far from Petco. Thanks!

We have done this option before from the same hotel and I would say walking to the game in the early evening is OK but after the game I would walk out to the Gaslamp area and get a cab. The walk to the park is all downhill... More
Hi. Coming from New Zealand and want to take my kids to a game. I see that they have lots of kid events on the Sunday but do they normally have good crowds on those days? Or are Fridays and Saturdays normally the busiest? (they are playing the Marlins when we are there). Thanks

Sunday would be fine. It's never too crowded. I prefer afternoon games. Have a wonderful time in San Diego.
Hi, will there be any games on at the beginning of November? Thanks in advance 😊

The season may be over but they still offer tours of the ballpark twice a day. Once at 10:30 and again in the afternoon. I believe it's $15 per person.
