The Padre's were out of town, so we took the park tour. Very reasonable price, the tour guide was awesome and we love the 80 minutes spent there. We walked on the field, sat in the dugout, went in the locker room, suites for the...More

Slowly but surely, I am making the rounds of major league stadiums with my son. While vacationing in La Jolla, we caught a mid-week game in July at Petco. Mets v. Padres. The weather was perfect. We sat in left field in hopes of catching...More

Hands down, one of THE BEST Ballparks in all of Major League Baseball. I am not even a San Diego Padres fan, nor a native Southern Californian. But, I ALWAYS make it a point to get tickets to a game when I am in San...More

Fenway Park is my home ballpark. $50 at Fenway gets you a seat out in right field, facing center-field instead of home plate, behind a pole. $50 at Petco got me a seat right behind home plate with a server bringing me good and drinks....More

Unlike other large cookie-cutter stadiums, the Padres' stadium has some character. the scoreboard, third largest in MLB, is huge, clear, bright and HD. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food choices are good, with variety.

We had a great time visiting the game of the San Diego Padres. Petco Park is a great stadium with a good atmosphere! The kids (9 and 11 years) loved it. Food and beverages: plenty of choice, but not cheap.

Great place to watch a game, whether you're into baseball or not. The park is clean and has great views of the city. Food, like at most games, is insanely overpriced.

Petco Park may not be home to the greatest baseball team but it is home to some of the best views and is a must for all baseball fans. Every seat in the park is a winner but I recommend sitting up high and somewhere...More

Parking is super easy (for a price, of course), the park has lots of room to walk around and explore; plenty of great food and drink, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. And, great city views to boot!

We have done this option before from the same hotel and I would say walking to the game in the early evening is OK but after the game I would walk out to the Gaslamp area and get a cab. The walk to the park is all downhill... More

Sunday would be fine. It's never too crowded. I prefer afternoon games. Have a wonderful time in San Diego.
