There are plenty of places to dine at ocean beach, several bars and beautiful sun sets at ocean beach. A popular night spot for young adults. Parking is at a premium, get there early to claim a parking spot.

So we only went here to see the dog beach at ocean beach. We did not spend a day at the beach just about a half hour watching dogs romping on the beach--whcih is something we don't have were I live. It was cool.

The place to go for classic California Beach vibe. We love the restaurants, caught the street vendors on Wednesday evening. Cool shopping. And yes, in late December, people were walking around in wet suits with their surf boards. Lol

I believe so. I have seen tents and canopies before, but you are right no overnight camping.
