Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Old Town San Diego is a very historical place to visit. There are many locations to visit. There are many authentic Mexican restraunts to choose from. There are many old bulidings to tour, and a lot of little curio shops to purchase pottery, mexican articles , and clothing.

Nice to see the roots of San Diego. I took the 11 am free history walking tour. Liked strolling around the shops, getting soft tacos for lunch, and ice cream and candy from one of the stores. I took the number 30 bus there from downtown San Diego and back. Short comfy ride.

For a first time visitor or seeking a special Mexican restaurant it seems like a OK place to hang. We did eat in a very good
restaurant recommended by a local, but I would not want to spend an evening here. Souvenir shops galore, tours and many out of town visitors. I am not sure how authentic the area is but it's worth a stroll and a beverage if nothing else.
