My family and I enjoyed walking on Shelter Island along the marina and driving on Harbor Island. It would be nice to take a picnic lunch to one of the park-like areas.

The beach at shelter island is clean and not as populated as Coronado or La Jolla. The pier was a great place for a hot dog and IPA beer. Very relaxing and nice place to just sit and watch your troubles go by.

Glad we stayed here instead of Harbor. Shelter has a nice sidewalk along it where you can walk or have a picnic. Easy to get to airport from here.

Coasterra has a great vibe. The waterfront dining is great and the view of the City is fantastic! We recommend the Organic Skinny Margarita and also Deb's Coconut Margarita. The tableside guacamole is worth it!

Love Shelter Island its away from the city and has its own hip chic. Try the bands at Humphreys or even the Burger King is wow.

Just across from the airport, Harbor Island offers views of the downtown San Diego skyline and Coronado's North Shore Base. There are walking paths, rental bike kiosks, marinas, hotels, even some free parking. Watch locals sail. We even saw the largest yacht in North America,...More
