The museum is dark, dingy, and dirty. The toddler area has outdated, dirty toys. It seriously needs to be cleaned. I've never been to a kid museum that was this dirty. It's not worth your entrance fee. I saw kids who seemed to be enjoying themselves, but as a parent it's not the ideal place. The IMAX movie was included... More

Hello, Maria, Thank you for bringing this incident to our attention. We pride ourselves on consistently providing our guests the best experience possible, and we’re very sorry our service did not live up to these standards. Because this is a hands-on science center with thousands of visitors each week, some of our exhibits do experience wear and tear. We appreciate... More

The area is gorgeous, of course. We always love having a reason to go to Balboa Park. It's a nice, small museum. Smaller than we are accustomed to but my family still loved the exhibits and the IMax movie we watched. My 4 year old especially loved the little kids play area. My only real complaint is the size. It's... More

My husband and I walked through because we had a purchased a 5 museum/1 day pass. The museum had a few interesting exhibits, but it is mostly for children, and kind of small. I would have been disappointed had I paid full admission. I remember bringing my boys here when they were little and it seemed much bigger then.

There is something at the Reuben H. Fleet Science for everyone; both young and old alike! Their IMAX films are beautiful, enjoyable, and very educational; their science center is not only interesting and educational, but some of the exhibits are quite fun for children, 'tweens, teens, and adults!

If you are into the history of flight and space travel this is the place for you. They have planes from the start of flight to WW1 & WW11 to space travel and everything in between. There is something for everyone

Went in a field trip with 7th graders. The kids loved it! Lots to see and do. Very hands on. Kept them busy for a few hours. Parking was easy. We had lunch at the park that was adjacent. I didn't realize Balboa Park had so many great museums and attractions. We will definitely be back!

This used to be a go-to day outing when my kids were little, so my son and I were excited to be taking my granddaughters here. Unfortunately things have changed over the years and it was not even close to the same. The downstairs was cluttered with a circus theme, up stairs had only a few of the cool science... More

The Reuben H. Fleet Center in San Diego is another somewhat mediocre attraction so far as adults are concerned, at least at first glance. My 6 year old seemed to like it, but adults and likely teenagers will be bored stiff in 15 minutes. This is how it was for us, until we found their live demonstrations. They played with... More

My children loved their visit to the science center. We had a tough day at the San Diego Zoo, so this was much better after we left there and went down to the science center. The center has many exhibits for Ida to learn, and they also had pretensions going on while we were there. This was a part of... More
