More
The San Diego Museum of Man is your museum! Join the hundreds of thousands of people each year who come to see its exhibits on beer, monsters, torture, race, human and primate evolution, and more. You can also experience one of most important ancient Egyptian collections in the United States, which includes authentic Egyptian mummies, an exceptionally rare child sarcophagus, and one of the world's few surviving examples of Nefertiti's cartouche. Also, for the first time in 80 years, we are now offering guided tours of the California Tower - one of San Diego's most iconic landmarks. Tower tour tickets are timed like theater tickets, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance to secure your desired date and time.

When we visited there was a great exhibit on cannibalism, which was really engaging and an Egyptian one too. Our son really enjoyed the Monster exhibit and being a teacher I am definitely borrowing some ideas to take back to the classroom. The museum is...More

This "museum" resembled more of a children's' discovery center. There is so much for the young mind to learn about evolution of man, their culture, or different ethnicity. Not quite sure how the "beerology" exhibit fit into this museum although I found it interesting. Lots...More

Hi--well good news and bad news. Museums are free to resident's on Tuesdays, but the cannibal exhibit is extra charge even on free days. Good luck!
