Agree with other reviews. This mall looks nice although something is missing. It was very quiet there for a Saturday which was very surprising. Did stumble across a 1 day sale at Macy's which was a plus. Overall similar to San Diego city centre this mall is quite a quiet place.

Complicated, mixed up shopping area, not a huge amount of shops, nothing that is different. Sorry we bothered going

Outdoor mall with upscale and affordable clothing for women, men and children along with cheap eats and sit down venues. Athletic shoes stores are located throughout. Be advised that there are several homeless and adults sleeping near the mall. Security is minimal.

This is a good gateway into parking and walking around the Gaslamp Quarter though I do not know if it is worth it as a destination in itself. The outdoor shopping with multiple levels lends a nice ambiance, and there is plenty of shopping, though the stores are mostly typical mall-fare. Ended up being pretty disappointed in the place overall,... More

Always have and always will enjoy Horton Plaza. It was great to go back after all these years. Outdoor plaza malls are the best, if you absolutely have to go to a mall.

There is not much else around in the downtown area of San Diego and this one really does not have a lot going for it. There is a small Macy's and a number of specialty shops and that is about it.

This mall opens to a large square Opposite the US Grant hotel. There is a Starbucks cafe in the middle of the square. Macys and other shops occupy the multistory building. I felt uneasy as many homeless are taking spots in the area.

At first sight, Westfield Horton plaza looked innovative and attractive with its brightly coloured multi-level outdoor design. The mall was deserted until lunchtime, when people came to use the food court. Choices for food were limited to low quality fast food. The shops were empty except for Macy's which had a sale on. However, to get to it from Broadway,... More

This mall is a good shopping alternative downtown SD. The food court is small but decent. Not too many stores but the Macy's makes up for some of it

I am a multiple returning SD visitor and I love downtown San Diego and it's great located shopping mall. But: what the hell is going on there? So many stores are closed, also most of the food courts are put of order. Why? Still worth to visit, but this area has seen better years...
