Since it's renovation the capital is beautiful. Fully handicap accessible. Walk through and view historical items. Lived in Kansas almost my whole life and learned so much on a recent trip. Take your time.

They have a great dome tour. Not for the faint of heart though. Quite a climb to get there. The regular tour is pretty cool too. They give quite a history of Kansas with pictures and paintings. Well worth the time to go.

If you ever visit Topeka our capital building is a must see. It has been totally restored...gorgeous Italian marble, beautiful murals and many other features. You can even climb to the top of the dome and get a wonderful view of the city.

It has been meticulously restored. The inside is palatial, full of artwork and beautiful stonework and metalwork. It makes the U.S. Capitol look dingy.

What a great place to visit. The Peoples House. Very tourist friendly! You can walk alone or join a tour. Many schools come for field trips. Well worth the time. Building is beautiful!! History has been preserved.
