Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

City square park is a small park just off Beacon Hill. If you have been walking round Bunker Hill and the Beacon Hill area this is a place to stop and get your breath back. Not a huge amount here but a good stopping point.

This is a rather small park along the Freedom Trail. If you find you need a place to rest and eat a snack, this is a good place to do that. The fountain in the middle is quite beautiful. Walk around the outside and read some of the many plaques on the wall to get a better sense of the importance in history of this location.

This is a small park, but provided a nice refugee from the Freedom Trail, to take a break. The area is small and can get crowded.

Just off the Freedom Trail, the City Square Park is small, but offers some interesting memorials, statues and a great view across to the Zakim Bridge. The Park offers easy access to walk back to North End via the Charlestown Bridge.

City Square Park is a historic park in the southern end of Charlestown on the Freedom Trail. It consists of grassy areas, historic markers, sculptures, and a gorgeous fountain and weather vane in the middle of the park. The park used to be the site of Charlestown's City Hall when it was an independent city (it was annexed to Boston in 1874). It was later the site of the City Square MBTA Orange Line stop when the Charlestown Elevated section of the Orange Line ran through there. The Orange Line has since been moved, and the station has not been operational since 1975.
The park is a great place to take a break from walking the Freedom Trail and enjoy the shade in the summertime. It is within walking distance of good restaurants in Charlestown and even across the bridge in North End and West End.

The City Square Park is located in Charlestown and can be reached after crossing the Charlestown Bridge from the city centre of Boston. This is a small patch of green space established here in the 1990s.
The city park is small but well landscaped. Here you'll find a fountain with an interesting pole and weather vane, plenty of seating area along the walkways.
The Freedom Tail sort of weaves its way through the square, making this a good place to stop and rest your feet before proceeding to the Charlestown Navy Yard attractions or crossing the bridge if touring the trail in the southbound direction.
