We had our small company outing here today. As usual, very relaxing and really good food. A short 30 minute ride from Long Wharf past Logan Airport, South Boston and some other of the Boston Harbor Islands. It's quiet out there, only the entertainment you...More

I went there as part of a group social event for a conference. We were swarmed by the largest and most aggressive mosquitoes I have ever encountered. My wife and I were bitten a couple of dozen times between us in the space of 15...More

Nice spot for large group. We lucked out with a beautiful day. The event was catered and food was great. An activity company also kept busy those who wanted to be.

My company hosted its summer outing on Thomson Island for the first time this past summer and it was a great destination. Plenty of seating, views, hikes, adequate restroom facilities and a nice little cruise there and back.

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Is there swimming on Thompson (including "swim at your own risk")? I know there is swimming on Spectacle, Lovells, and Bumpkin and that swimming on Georges is prohibited. I can't find any evidence saying whether or not swimming is allowed on Thompson.

I head it quite expensive for one person entrance free and only collect when you leave the island, is that true?
