We had been to the outlet stores at wrentham , and while we did get somethings for a decent price mainly Michael Kors bags etc .. The bargains were not great . Macys is the type of store... More

Some of the streets are blocked off from traffic making for a very convenient shopping experience. It's centrally located to most of the downtown hotels and train station.

Great if you want to shop until you drop, otherwise not much to offer. It is undergoing an upgrade but it's currently a bit of a mess.

A neighbourhood with government and corporate offices, nice restaurants, pubs, shopping - Macys, Walgreens. Get a map or locate directional signages. With the numerous small lanes, one could miss the planned destination. We were looking for HRC at Clinton St from Court & State Streets. A road cleaner was helpful to provide directions. He called control on his walkie and... More

Terrible, really need to clean up the goings on there, very few if any descent stores. Restaurant pickings very, very slim. Very dull & dark place. Nothing to offer there. Mayor Walsh should be ashamed. His priorities are straight out the window. I'm from Boston all my life & I'm rather embarrassed by this downtown.

Boston downtown house to many corporate companies, buzzing city life people working hard, there are parks around downtown to sit and relax solo or with your loved ones or with friends, there are many food trucks at south station where u can buy and eat in middle of a main road with nice lawn and surrounded by buildings, night time... Did some afternoon shopping at Macy's and Primark with some friends and we had so much fun. Besides those stores, there is a wide range of shopping and places to grab a bite to eat or a drink!

Summer in Boston quite amazing considering far from Delhi's heat. Nice market place. Many shopping options, eating joints great place to enjoy.

Downtown Crossing is crowded at all times, it is okay to be in during the day, however when night falls it becomes unsafe and I would not recommend it. Useful places in Downtown Crossing: Macy's, Marshall´s, T-Station, Corner Mall on Winter st., Primark and much more.

Normally we tend to Boylston street, but as we were staying nearby we came down here for a look around. Penney's, sorry I mean Primark was not long open so the girls had to go and have a mooch around and see if Boston were getting one over them. I have never been down this part of Boston before and... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
