A circle of cobblestones in the street outside the Old State House marks the spot where British soldiers fired on a crowd, the event which many believe was the start of the Revolutionary War.

Located near the Old State House and Old South Meeting house. Tens of thousands of tourists and residents walk over it every day.

A turning point in America's history, this is the exact site of the so-called Boston Massacre. A closer look at the facts and one can see why John Adams successfully defended the British troops. It was a disgruntled mob who incited the events. It was...More

This is a very important site, historically, because of its propaganda value at that time. It is quite understated being a circle of bricks set into the pavement. It is, however something you have to visit if you are in Boston.

A very historic sight, however not much of an "attraction" to me. Nice to see and imagine the historical event that happens here, but don't expect too much.

I (the non American!) led my group of friends along the Freedom Trail, and this was one of the stops. It's just on a street, and only has a marker in the ground. A semi-important site, but not a lot to do. It's on the...More

We didn't go in to the museum (I'm not sure I knew there was one), but this was a quick, neat little detail along the Freedom Trail. I'm a big fan of all the plaques, so I thought it was cool. Neat little corner off...More

The Old State House is a must see for all lovers of history and architecture lovers. It is a good example of 18th century public architecture. It is close by everything and has a nice, small museum inside. It's amazing to have survived.

We barely got a glimpse of it. A tour guide brought a big tour of bored looking kids to the site, and while she stood in the middle of it the kids stood around the edge fidgeting and talking among each other, meanwhile blocking anyone...More

It took me some time to find it out, because is just a bunch of rocks on the floor! You probably will step over it and won't ever realize!

We highly recommend visiting this historic location. This is a must for families and couples. This is considered a tourist location but none the less a must.

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have
