The area

Neighbourhood: Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

Saw him twice on Penn & Teller’s Fool Us before catching Paul in person. Amazing show! Nonstop surprises and entertainment. Would definitely recommend for a night out in Boston.

An intimate evening of magic
Feb. 2020
The beauty of Paul's show is it's intimacy. Twelve can sit at his center table and 24 can sit around the table and encouraged to come closer or stand to carefully attempt to see how he does his tricks. I guarantee you will be fooled; he has fooled Penn and Teller three times on their show "Fool Us". Add all this to the historical location of Boston's Omni Parker House and you are in for an enchanting evening. The show lasts a full 1 1/2 hours and there are no special effects or distractions and Paul invites plenty of audience participation from the whole room. There is much more here than meets the eye!

Wonderful surprise gift from my wife! Strongly recommend! Stay over at the Omni, too!!
Dec. 2019
Miracles & Other Deceptions: The Close Up Magic of Paul Gertner was a wonderful surprise gift from my wife! Strongly recommend! Stay over at the Omni, too!! I love magic in general and sleight of hand, in particular. Paul's show is great. it is very intimate with everyone very close up. Very entertaining. It was very cold outside so it was wonderful to be staying at the Omni without having to go out in sub-zero weather. And then afterwards went to the bar downstairs. Terrific night. Just like Paul fooled Penn & Teller my wife fooled me with a wonderful surprise night! I had no idea what we were doing until we entered the room and even then had no idea it would be so entertaining.

More than a magic show
Dec. 2019 • Family
A magical evening of miracles resides for those in Boston and visiting Boston at the Omni Parker hotel. The proficiency of the master prestidigitator, the intimacy of the room and the enthusiastic response of the audience combined to inspire me and my grandchildren. The dazzling sleight of hand, the audience participation, the humor and personal touch all contribute to a wondrous performance. Paul Gertner, so much more than a magician, mesmerized us with his illusions, taught us how to perform a card trick and even provides the materials for the trick. The age range in the audience was vast and everyone left on a cloud of wonder. Mr. Gertner is a regional creative asset to the area. The performance is worth every penny.

Nov. 2019 • Friends
Had the BEST time at this show. I can’t believe how entertained I was the entire time.... Paul is a great storyteller and magician. He even gave us a trick to take home (and taught us how to do it!). I can not recommend this show enough. It was a perfect Friday night. Dinner and drinks, then an AMAZING magic show. You have to check it out!!!
