This monument is a tall tower. To understand it's significance you must remember all those history lessons from middle school. Which my old mind has long forgotten. Thus it was only a tall tower to me. However, I gave it 2 stars as if you...More

This was pretty cool to see, even if it was hard to recognize where exactly the battling took place. Definitely worth a quick stop!

Get the free tickets (from across the street) to climb to the top. Then climb. What awaits you at the top is a great view of Boston and that is very cool.

The Bunker Hill monument is a great tribute to those who fought for country's independence almost 250 years ago. The hill overlooks Boston, and the park service building has lots of historical information about the monument and Charlestown. I think that monuments such as this...More

Bunker Hill was an important battle at the outset of the American Revolution. The British technically won the battle, but had much higher casualties inflicted on them. Good views from up top, if you can walk the stairs!

Part of the freedom trail. Did not go in, just took pictures. Was on a tight schedule. I will be back though. Boston cannot be done in 2 days, there is so much History. You can get to this place from the city view trolley...More

The National Park Service rangers give scheduled talks which explain the significance of the monument. You can also climb (294 steps in each direction). If you arrive early, you do not need a ticket to climb. Otherwise, grab a ticket at the museum across the...More

Had a nice walk in the evening to see this monument and had a wonderful view of the Zacim Bridge as we got close. Very quaint neighborhood around this area. We came from the Tudor Wharf Marriott and it was an easy walk. A couple...More

Can go up and down and see most of what you want to see in an hour or so. If grabbing lunch or something I'd say 1-2 hours max
