This National Park consists of 34 small islands just off shore in Boston Harbor. The most popular, George's Island, is home to Fort Warren, a Civil War Landmark that housed Confederate prisoners. Visitors to the 12 islands open for exploration can camp, kayak, tour lighthouses, ride harbor ferries, hike and swim.

Surprisingly approximately 34 islands to view. Went on the 5pm ferry from long wharf which was ideal on a lovely sunny evening. Tour guide was informative. Great to see Boston from the sea. Definitely recommend this trip.

You can camp on some of the islands. Otherwise there are no places to stay. Camping is listed on the boston harbor islands website.
