The Freedom Trail was well mapped out with a red line you follow on the road. If I were to go back to Boston I would join a tour group of some sort to help get more information about each site.

Good way to see the city. A bit more information points or a digital tourguide would be nice. All in all a nice experience (the weather was certainly helping)

Definite must. Costume character is your guide who walks with you and gives you informative information of history of the city. Fair priced too!

Boston is the best and the Freedom Trail is wicked awesome!! I love the feel and slower pace than New York! People are actually walking around having fun without fear of getting ran over by a biker.

Tom our tour guide did an amazing job, dressed up as Josiah Quincy in a very thick costume on a very hot day. He was interesting and knowable as well as amusing. My sister and I only managed the "Walk into History" tour of The...More

Start at Boston Commons. Beware, even though the trail is 2.5 miles long, if you have limited time, you may want to prioritize stops in advance. If you stop and take in each site along the trail, you will easily take up a... More

Very much so. They will love it. Do it on a sunny day and watch out for the road cross part of the trail.

Right at the start, you have the original Cheers (formerly the Bull & Finch), across the street from the Public Garden. You have to go off the trail for a little bit, but not much. That would be a fun place to start. You... More
