We were able to attend mass on Easter. There was an informative There was a nice tour following mass. It included a description of the beautiful artistry and the history of the Basiica. This is a welcoming congregation.

A very interesting building with a unique history. It's rare to find a building like this in America, much less in the mountains of NC. Also a good start point for exploring downtown. Plus it's free so there's that.
