McCormick Field opened its gates for the first time in 1924 when the Asheville Tourists played host to the Detroit Tigers. Over the years the stadium has encountered numerous renovations, most recently a seating bowl makeover in 2015, that has ensured the stadium remains up with the times while keeping its lustrous history and throwback feel. With a capacity of just over 4,000, the dynamic during a game is intimate and scenic. It is a hitter friendly Minor League ballpark thanks to a short porch in right field and a 42-foot high wall in right-center. McCormick Field is still inhabited by the Asheville Tourists, the Single A Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.

Looking for the old ball park at a good price. Here it is right downtown. Family night at the ball park where the players just want to play and the fans are just baseball fans. Good prices, great atmosphere.

I've been to McCormick Field hundreds of times over the years with my Mom & Dad. The place has been redone with all new box seats. The seats are definitely more comfortable than the old aluminum bleachers in the past. The seats went up $1...More

We reserved a box. I was excited because that meant we had a server. It was so bad I finally just got up and ordered my own drinks and food. Don't waste your money.

Nice park, clean and safe. Did not like that there was netting all around the field so every seat was looking through netting to watch the game. Most fields only have the netting he hind home plate. This was a big problem for my ability...More

A really nice place to catch a game. Family friendly atmosphere, low priced tickets, free parking and all the seats are pretty close to the action. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

What a great place for a fun afternoon or evening! $11 for seats behind home plate and looking into the trees. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. There is a family friendly section with no alcohol.

Attended a game with my husband and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We noticed a coupon in the local paper and took advantage of it. That scored us reserved seats behind home plate and next to the scouting agents. We were entertained all evening! The locals...More

Lotta history at this minor league park, Draft Yuengling with sausage and fries was very good. Reminded me of old Fenway Park with the big wall.

There's always something special for kids there. On Sunday's the kids get to go on the field, meet the players and get autographs. Sometimes there's more. Show up early for more chances at special things going on.
