I've only stayed at the GPI once, but I never visit Asheville without checking out the lobby, the hallways with historic photos and the Grovewood Village. The gallery is so beautiful with extremely talented craftsmen and artist's work on display and for purchase. The car museum is equally artistic when you take in the sculpture like quality of all that... More

After checking out I took a tour of the car museum and gallery. It exceeded my expectations. I was blown away by the cars and the man that told me about the history......so knowledgeable. The artwork, carvings, jewelery, glass art are all spectacular. This is a must see!!

Wonderful craft museum with a variety of styles of material, glass, wood fabric and also an excellent private collection of old cars. Good restaurant on grounds as well as Grove Park Inn just across the road.

We came for the craft shop. Heard that they had a great selection of fine art furniture, which was true. Really beautiful and creative (but really expensive). Other art was excellent. The car museum was not yet open for the year.

There is an amazing craft shop with fine local craftsmen. There is also a great antique car exhibition for car lovers. In addition, there is a building with an interesting exhibition regarding the mills associated with Biltmore.

I stopped in for the "In Stitches" exhibit and to experience some Asheville art culture. Wide variety of art for sale including pottery, jewelry, furniture. There is truly something for everyone.

Aside from the items being offered inside the store, you have the opportunity to walk around the village and explore the grounds which are nicely decorated and maintained. There are some really unique furniture and jewelry pieces inside the store.

Grovewood Gallery (integral part of the village) is a highlight with beautiful arts and crafts andd some great outdoor sculpture. There are also several small artist studios that are open a few times a year for viewing. Area includes a wonderful old car museum and some newly opened historic buildings that used to house high end fabric production. A good... More

Both the setting and art/furniture/jewelry/glass/pottery/sculptures on display were amazing! We visited the day after the wonderful 30th Anniversary Arts & Crafts Festival held at the Grove Park Inn. What a great way to end our visit. The staff greeted us as we walked in to give us a lay of the land and were extremely patient. Prices were amazingly reasonable... More

This gallery is less known as it is not in the middle of Asheville. Many think it is part of the Omni Grove Park Inn, NOT SO! It is free standing, close to the OGPI. It is on the Grey Lines Tour Route. It is filled w/the best of Asheville jewelers & wood craftpersons!
