From the moment you walk in the door Inez is there to greet and welcome you. She explains a bit about halotherapy and puts you right at ease. The halotherapy session is deeply relaxing, and I found that I was able to achieve a much...More
This was my first time at a dry salt cave. I'm not sure if I got any benefits from my time in the salt room but it was relaxing. It was a good way to break up the day.

If you are travel weary and find yourself in Asheville, take an hour out of your day and relax and rewind in the salt cave. You will leave rejuvenated and ready to get back on the road. Check out their website for more info.
We did the salt cave and massage both. Unfortunately the couples together massage was sold out so we had to switch from being in the cave to the massage room at opposite times. It was still very relaxing and the massage was great. Definitely a...More

I've visited several salt spas, and this is my favorite. Ines, the owner, is extremely warm and friendly. She has such a sweet nature. I instantly relax when I walk through the door. I've taken my husband, my elderly parents, and friends. This time I...More

My wife booked us a session in the salt cave after reading about this place online and watching the video. It kind of seems like a nondescript exterior but the man-made salt cave room was otherwordly. With only one session, I can't speak to the...More
My wife treated me to this and a salt bed session with her. It was surprisingly calming and peaceful. The picture of the salt room is very accurate. I would definitely try it again and if in this area, I would only go to this...More
Joined by my husband and three friends, we enjoyed 45 minutes in the salt cave. It was very relaxing, and the purported health benefits make sense to me! The owner was knowledgable, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommend, and will do it again...but may also add...More

Do NOT wear a bathing suit! Wear loose-fitting comfortable street clothes and a light sweater if you tend to be cold in 65* weather. The cave is cool, and they have a fan circulating at all times, but once you have settled into your reclining chair, they cover you with a heated blanket. I did not need a sweater, but I could see why some people might. The white socks are for wearing in the cave itself, as no shoes or bare feet are allowed to walk to your chair, but they will offer some paper booties if you forget the white socks.

Thank you for your interest in The Salt Spa of Asheville. We offer multiple services here that need different preparation. For Halotherapy (Salt Therapy) in our Himalayan Salt Cave Room we suggest wearing comfortable clothes and maybe bringing a light long sleeve jacket. The temperature in the Salt Cave Room is about 70 degrees. We provide clean blankets for our guests as well. Our Far infrared Himalayan Salt Bed Session requires a bathing suit so the heat can penetrate easier beneath your skin. Often, our guests choose both services during one visit, back to back. Both have tremendous health benefits and are deeply relaxing.
We hope we answered all your questions. Feel free to call us at (828) 505 1838
Best Wishes, Ines Clark
