This tour takes 45 minutes and is given twice a day. Make sure you call ahead and make a reservation. IT'S FREE! We learned about Moog and Bob Moog a pioneer in the music industry. I recommend if you are looking for something different to do and are mildly interested in music.

Interesting history and some hand's on experience if you are familiar with Moog synthesizers. And you will be surprised at how little the factory is. Great little coffee shop a few steps away.

Our 13 and 16 year old sons love music (as do we), so we decided to call and get in this tour of the Moog Factory. It was truly fascinating to learn about these synthesizers and how many famous performers have used them..and currently use them. They have been a huge part of the sounds of rock/pop music (including Beatles,... More

The tour is free but do RSVP via email or phone. They have a showroom where you can play mini moogs, theremins, etc. It was amazing! Seeing the workers at their craft was a treat and everyone was incredibly friendly and laid back. If you are a music fanatic of the electronic type you simply must go here.

The Moog factory offers free tours twice a day. Learn the story behind these synthesizers and watch them being made by hand. Try them all in the showroom before or after your tour. Friendly staff.

This is a fantastic place! The Moog Factory makes synthesizers by hand right here in the U.S.A. in downtown Asheville. You can practice playing on several types of synthesizers before the tour begins. This is a part of musical history that will resonate with everyone who attends and it's not too long of a tour. It took about 45 minutes... More

We had a great time. This isn't for young children it is more for adults and young adults. The guide was full of knowledge. The information was a little above my knowledge but still very interesting to see things in the factory.

The tour provides background on the history of synthesizers in general, with special attention to their founder and firn history. You get to experiment with playing various synthesizers as well. Very enjoyable.

This tour is a must for any music lover out there, especially keyboard players. But even if you are not familiar with synths at all, this tour will help you see how the Moog synth has revolutionized music. If it's a Moog synth, it was made right there in Asheville. Tour guide was awesome. You can even play their synths... More
