The Christmas light display the North Carolina Arboretum is nothing less than incredible. From the giant sized Christmas Tree with its moving light to floating chandelier to small scale train display, the Arboretum offers something for all ages. The walk through the grounds is gentle enough for anyone to enjoy. While we have only visited in the winter, the grounds... More

The NC Arboretum is a must-see, must-do experience for any gardener or anyone interested in gardening. Excellent workshops are available and nominally priced. Rare and unusual plant specimens are featured, along with an excellent Bonsai garden.

A great place for a long walk with plenty of trails. Dogs are welcome too. Costs a few dollars to get in (I think i twas $10 for the car) but, worth it as it's big and has lots of things to see and a lot of space and nature.

Not only are the grounds around the Arboretum beautiful, but the hiking trails are gorgeous any time of the year. The patchwork quilt garden and the Bonsai exhibit are two of our favorites. The trails around the property range from easy to moderate. There is also an azalea repository on the property that is worth a view

We loved the Lego exhibit & the gardens, statues, displays! My 8 year old was entertained & so was my 31 year old sister & 20 year old brother. Very unique, informative & beautiful. Took 1-2 hours to complete. Only paid for parking. ($12)

This was a lot of fun! We meandered through the gardens filled with lots of different light displays. Lots of visitors but plenty of parking and room to spread out in the gardens.

If you like lights this is a nice respite to visit as many of the designs were created by a former Disney employee. Nice arrangement, different styles of lighting displays you would not see in the standard Winter Light Festival. The trees light up in the sequence of swirls, different colors for each part of the tree, that was excellent.... More

Fun and beautiful holiday light display. We walked through, bought some hot chocolate and enjoyed the dazzling displays. If you are looking for a sure-fire way to get into the holiday spirit, this is a must-see on your holiday trip to Asheville. Save a few $$ and plan to go on a Tuesday when everyone gets the 'friends and family'... More

My wife and I visit often and have annual passes. Our last visit was to see the Christmas lights which have been a bit different every year. They were colorful and original in design. I always like the model train exhibit which also was decorated for the season. The flora on display change with the seasons and a rich array... More
