It turns out Asheville has great water from which they make some great beer. A sister plant with one in Colorado, this is the company that makes Fat Tire beer. Our very pleasant host, Lucy, did an outstanding job in explaining the processes that go...More
What a fun place! The people working here are so nice and helpful. The space is lovely. It sits on the river with nice views. Great space to sip beer and spend a couple of hours. Good food vendors on site. And yes, the beer...More
First of all, great value as it is a free tour. The tour is fun because the tour guides make it fun including the ‘must do’ curvy slide. Maggie was our guide and she was awesome. There are three tasting stops along the way to...More
Another huge Asheville brewery. Really solid beers. Try the Kriek if you’re into sours and during the fall months, the atomic pumpkin is delicious. Tons of outdoor space with picnic tables and a huge field for lounging or throwing a ball around. Right on the...More
Ross was an excellent tour guide. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. It’s an 1 1/2 Hour tour but goes by so quickly. You learn a lot about the company and get to sample a lot of beer. A must go to while visiting here.

My husband and I happened upon this place on Asheville day and spent a few hours enjoying a brass band and delicious beer in the beautiful beer garden. I’m not a huge beer fan, but enjoyed the cider. My husband enjoyed everything he tasted.
Went on the brewery tour. The guide was amazing in the wealth of knowledge about beer and New Belgium beer. Not only do you get to see an ultra modern brewery, there are stops along the way to sample what was just explained. Give up...More
We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was perfect. We bought a beer and waited for our tour guide. What a character he was and fun to listen too. The tour is approximately 90 minutes long. Afterward, we went back to try more beer...More
I continue to try new things at breweries but when it came down to it I had to go back and stick with the 1554 porter here. Everything else I tried was too hoppy for me. Very cool place though. Wish they had more porter/stout...More
