I didn't see any wildlife. The sound of running water was peaceful and the trail was very level and short. I prefer to hike where the view includes more. Maybe I will go back when wildflowers begin to bloom.

The trail is easy to find, just off Hwy 50 before you enter Gunnison. There is a public restroom right by the parking and picnic areas, which was very clean and easily accessible. The trail itself is flat and easy to navigate, and the sounds of the river make for a lovely, peaceful experience.

This was an easy walk trail. It was about 1.5 miles. It was an easy path for people who rant advid nickers. You will need Off spray to keep the many masqito's away. You hike by a river and through a wooded area.

The Neversink trail and rest area is at mile marker 152 along the Blue Mesa Reservoir. First, it is a beautiful place to just stop and rest or have a picnic. Lots of tables. There is a very wide circle drive around this area which is big enough for big trailers, etc. . Also has a bath room. It is... More

Fly Fishing and Relaxing! I've been fly fishing and hanging out at Neversink for years. Lots of public water, good fishing for wild browns and some larger than average rainbows. Kick back for lunch in the picnic areas that are shaded by huge Cottonwood trees. Crowded on summer weekends...GORGEOUS in the fall with fewer people.

Not far from Gunnison. Well maintained even after the heavy rains. Evidence of beaver activity. The walk is easy, and the sounds of the stream are delightful.

This is a nice riverside walk, but about halfway through the well-maintained trail ends and things get pretty impassable. There is a sign at the trailhead, so it's no surprise, but it's too bad because there aren't many trails like it in the mountains. If it's repaired I would highly recommend it.

This is an easy, peaceful trail. If you go in damp summer months, be prepared to find mushrooms. There are giant oyster mushrooms growing on the downed trees along the trail. But be careful- there are also very poisonous mushrooms in this area. Great trail for small children who don't like hills - very green and lush.

Good place to relax, picnic, fishing all under open blue sky of Gunnison county. What else do you need ?
