We really wanted to see alligators in the Everglades (I know, right?), and this was the best place we stopped on our trip for that. There were eight or so in the water right before we reached the Visitor Center (driving from East to West),...More

We visited the Oasis Visitor Center after being at the Big Cypress Welcome Center. It's a poor sister. The Oasis VC has a few displays and a video (the same on as at the Big Cypress Welcome Center). Wasn't too impressive. We could have easily...More

This is a good place to stop off & spend some minutes spotting the creatures hiding & gliding in the water foliage. The Rangers are helpful & informative too

LOVE the Oasis! Love all the alligators resting while fish swim all around them. The birds that come to visit are awesome. The park rangers here always give me such great information, everything from "Why do gators smile?" to some of the hidden scenic drives...More

Stopped in to check this place out on our way to the Keys, and it really was incredible to see the dozens of gators swimming around in the river/creek area here right off the roadside. Got some fantastic pictures of the gators, as well as...More
