This overlook is much easier to access while heading W on 502 towards Los Alamos (going up the mountain), since it's on the right side of the road. It's easier to miss while heading the other way (since it's a stretch of mountain road your...More

A beautiful overview off the highway between Santa Fe and Los Alamos. The clouds were intriguing the day we stopped.

My wife were on the way to visit the Bandelier National Monument and decide to stop at the Anderson Overlook. Enjoyed the view at the overlook.

The road up can be a tad unnerving, so this turnout is grab worthy if just for that reason alone. The view though is worth a photo any time of day, so stop and relax a minute.

In my opinion, the Anderson Scenic Overlook is the second best place in Los Alamos for awesome photographs. This area is easily accessible by car, perfect for those who have mobility challenges.

Leaving Bandelier on the way to Los Alamos, came upon this great overlook - map it out in advance, as it comes up on you quick. Beautiful scenery.

Great mountain and vista views of the areas north and east of Los Alamos. The limited parking and access are issues.

It's a small lookout on the main road into Los Alamos which can comfortably park about 3 cars. If your RV is on the smaller side, shouldn't be a problem. A bigger RV might have trouble going up that particular road (narrow... More

It's on the main hill road going into or out of Los Alamos. It's after you pass the White Rock junction if you're driving into Los Alamos.
