Lovely views, some covered picnic tables as well. The trail is steep and not well marked in some places, but it goes all the way down to the river. Very strenuous coming back up if you are not used to the 6000 foot elevation here.

A spectacular view of the table mesas that make up the area Los Alamos sits on. This view is part of the Overlook Park at White Rock and is well worth the short drive from Bandelier or Los Alamos.

It's hard to imagine that the Rio Grand river runs through this area, so it was a big surprise to have this beautiful view off the river.

A worthwhile stop. Great views though my knees got a bit rubbery. Do pay close attention to the signs directing you here

You been to drive through a residential to get to the overlook, but the drive is worth the view. Nice parking area available and a very short walk to the overlook. If passing nearby, it's worth the stop.

Quite a surprise when our guide took us there. Breathtaking views. ACTUALLY a waterfall that was unexpected in this arid land

I don't think so. From what I remember, we saw so much, it was a small area like a local park with just a path overlooking the scenery. I would look at the Los Alamos visitor website which Trip Advisor won't let be type in... More
