Hiking in the Frijoles Canyon in Bandelier National Monument is a very lovely, fragrant experience. Do it after you've been to the ancient Pueblo sites on the south facing cliffs for a cool refreshing hike.

We took the Frey Trail down to the main loop, which gave us great, elevated views of Frijoles Canyon. It's a beautiful canyon with different level hiking trails available for all different types of fitness levels. Get out & enjoy!

Summer with the leaves is nice. Waterfalls and relatively easy hiking from Ponderosa or other inputs around Bandelier.
