Nature can not be improved upon! The Falls are beyond description. We enjoyed the walk from the parking lot to the viewing area, but it is not for the feeble. Definitely not a walker or wheel chair path. The walk along the tow path is...More

Great Falls is a beautiful spot to visit all year round, but I like it better in autumn. The myriad of colors in the falling tree leaves provide a beautiful background to the magnificent waterfalls. On a not-too-cold day, the park grounds are ideal for...More

I had never been to Great Falls and finally had the chance on a sunny week day with my husband and our leashed dog. What a spectacular nature park! We took in all three viewing areas and enjoyed watching the rush of water splashing over...More

The backup at the entrance was over mile long. That needs to change. There was plenty of parking and while there were a lot of people, the park never felt crowded. The views from the overlooks were excellent although water levels were low. Amazing numbers...More

I took a number of Freida who were vising the area. The view is breathtaking and very picturesque. We picnicked there but the bees were nuisance.

There are two places to explore _ the Virginia side and the Maryland side. There is a national park visitor center on the Virginia side. There are walking trails that are well maintained, some are week chair accessible. Great place for biking, sightseeing, history

The first overlook is the best view. The second overlook is for handicap people. If you continue on the River Trail there is a turn around that allows you to have a much easier path back to the visitor's center. It cost $10 per car...More

My wife and I were staying around 25 minutes away and based on reviews we spent a morning here. It is beautiful and we did a couple of the trails including the River trail. Highly suggest if you are in the area to go here.

No better place to spend a sunny fall weekend than hiking and admiring the views at this amazing national park. If not for the huge crowds, you would feel a million miles away from the nation's capital. We enjoy hiking and photography - plenty of...More

Not 100% sure, there were areas with seating and tables and I think BBQ's, I would ring and check with them so that you are not disappointed. Lovely place to visit!!

You would be able to see the falls even if you are walking with a stroller. It is definitely worth coming even if constricted by a stroller and even a wheelchair. There are more extensive walks that would be difficult with a... More
