Great Falls is so much more than any picture can depict. It is a masterpiece of nature. The park is lovely to visit and the three vantage points are just wonderful. Take time to walk the other trails as well.

It is a really nice hiking area. The falls is a plus. It offers spectacular views. I have been here twice and plan to go there again. I highly recommend this park if you are anywhere near.

Any time of year, it is worth the trip. Super busy during weekends in the fall, spring and summer. Spectacular in its own right in the winter. Picnics, history, hiking, just watching the falls... a great place. Don't forget to take note of the "high...More

Even the road to Great Falls is beautiful, first with many lovely homes, and then with the forest. With my lifetime national park membership, we didn't have to pay to enter. We were there on a Saturday and it was quite busy, with families and...More

Nice place to visit with friends and family. There are trails and 3 spots overlooking the fall. You are not allowed to enter water from Virginia side, although we saw people near water on the MD side. There is enough parking space so it is...More

We, a group of 8 females, walked/hiked the River trail. There were some rocks and a few leaves have fallen at this point. There were easy and moderate levels of difficulty. The views were beautiful.

We saw several groups picnicking just east of the visitors center. As far as shopping for food we drove by a couple of stores 10-15 minutes from the entrance. We didn’t see anywhere that sold concessions in the park.

Not 100% sure, there were areas with seating and tables and I think BBQ's, I would ring and check with them so that you are not disappointed. Lovely place to visit!!
