Stumbled across this place by accident when trying to find a Jeep trail. It is very scenic and interesting. Tucked in an out of the way place, you either have to stumble across it, as we did, or know to go there. Another of those magical, little paces that are all around Moab. Ask for directions at the Visitor Center... More

We promised our grand children that we'd search out dinosaur tracks when visiting Utah. We're sure that when they see the photos of the track, that like us they will be astonished that the tracks have survived.

My wife and I drove up Utah 191 to visit two dinosaur sites while in Moab to hike Arches and Canyonlands in early October 2016. Mill Canyon was the second such site we visited; the other was Copper Ridge Sauropod Dinosaur Tracks. We followed the winding road off 191 and things were going well as the signs directed us to... This is well done. The trails are easy for kids and spry elderly. The signs are attractive and have really good information. It is fascinating to see fossils in situ. Don't miss the recently discovered tracks. Lots of fun for everyone. An RV had become stuck in sand when our jeep was on the way here, so be sensible.

This was very easy to find down Potash Road. It is a very short climb up to the rock with the dinosaur footprint. Very cool!

We wanted to see some dinosaur tracks while we were in town and this was a perfect stop. The fossils were great and the various tracks were really interesting. This is definitely worth a stop if you like dinosaurs. Make sure to do both the trail and the trackside.

This place looked great on paper. We thought our all wheel drive, high clearance Subaru Outback could handle the dirt roads described. Nothing warned us that as we approached the site, the previous days of rain had washing out the road. We found a three-feet drop off. Trying to back out our wheel got stuck in quicksand up to the... For me this was exhilarating. Bones embedded in sandstone were cool, though you couldn't see so well what parts they were - a difficult task for the paleontologists to sort out - though the signage was pretty interesting and showed what is known. Deep sand didn't allow approach by car, so we ended up walking a half mile or so... More

Our son loved seeing the fossilized dinosaur bones in the rock. Everything is easily accessible along a short half mile track. Not easy to find as the route is not very well sign posted but if you find it you will also find some great

This is a great stop along the way about half way between Crescent Junction and Moab. Turn at the marked road and follow the signs. There are two areas to visit. The first is the dinosaur tracks area. Park within sight of your destination -- a very short walk. Stay on the path and have a great experience viewing several... More
