This is a beautiful drive along the floor of the canyon beside the naturally flowing Colorado River. Wildflowers adorn the river banks. Red rocks tower on either side of you. Beautiful!

We prefer to stay here rather than Moab which is now very commercialized. We use the Castle Valley B & B

Castle Valley runs along the Colorado River and if you're on I-70 coming from Denver, you exit at Cisco versus taking Hwy 191. The drive gives you some great views of red rock as well as the river. There are picnic areas as well as...More

Been following Terry Tempest Williams on Facebook and decided to take the drive in to see if it was as spectacular as the pictures she posts from time to time. It did not disappoint.

This has to be one of the most beautiful areas in the US. Not only does it have the Colorado River running through it, but it has spectacular vistas.

Even though the La Sal Loop Road was closed on the Wed we were there, it was still a beautiful drive up & back through Castle Valley.

Go through this valley to do the La Sal loop. It is just on the other side of the mounts. You will go thought green places and mounts and mountain. The road along the Colorado to reach the access is just stunning. Sylvain

Yes, you can however, you will need a second car to pick you up. Remember this is the Colorado River and there are swift areas and smooth areas. Good idea to check with a rafting company ahead of time just in case. Enjoy.
