My husband and I decided to rent bikes and bike to the trail from Moab and then do the trail. We didn't end up getting started until around 11am - this was way too late in the day. We were so hot - we knew...More

As regulars on single-track mountain bike trails in the east coast woods, riding on these trails was amazing. The trail comprised angled open loose rock, solid "slickrock trails", and various other terrain, all with wonderful views.

Slickrock trail is very difficult. I'm an experienced bike rider (mountain and road) and I found the trail too difficult to enjoy. If you are hell bent on riding this trail I would recommend that you recon it first and learn how to tackle the...More

Slickrock bike trail was originally built for motorbikes. Now it is an immense expanse of slick rock crisscrossed by marked routes now mostly used by mountain bikes but also good for hiking. Shorter training loop or full loop. Can be challenging but very worthwhile

if you have not done this ride before, must do. Love how the bike tires stick to the slick rock for climbing, descending. Not long, some technical parts, but you can walk around them.

I love mountain biking, and this ride was an excellent workout with plenty of anaerobic climbs and fun zippy downhills. You're an excellent rider if you can do the trail without your foot hitting the ground. The traction is excellent, though, and you can climb...More

The entire loop is not for your average tourist- don't try it! Or stay on the practice loop. We're three experienced mountain bikers and while technically, I did not find the trail challenging, the steep uphills were tiring (it was our first time on bikes...More

You can do it but you may want to save your energy for the trail. It is about 3 miles from downtown with some pretty good ascents.
