Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bring ear plugs or noise canceling headphones. Ken’s Lake is a staging area for people going to Arches. Most sites share a parking spot so you’ll hear your neighbors chewing their s’mores, packing up for the start of their day, and rocking out to classic rock while INSIDE their fifth-wheel trailer. There are no rules here and no etiquette.
On the plus side, you’re close to Moab and all it has to offer. The hiking trails are nice for a quick morning leg-stretcher and the waterfall or lake offer an icy dip to cool off.

We met up with our son and his wife and stayed 3 nights whilst we explored the area.
This is a great location and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The Maverick gas station in Moab will allow water fill and has a nice little store as well as gas. We loved Moab, will go again I hope. So much to see so much natural beauty and the feel is so outdoorsy and healthy.

Stayed one night waiting for our condo to be available in early August. For a FCFS there were plenty of sites to choose from (we were worried!) and we got a great spot (site 40) double occupied with a tent and 16 foot trailer for 2 families. Found the campground after doing lots of research and this place had great reviews. Normally I don’t love primitive sites, but this was a great location and an excellent campground. We brought water in and dumped at an RV park down the road. We were right on a hiking trail along a creek, and took a swim in the lake which was clean and refreshing. Also took our truck up on the trail to the faux falls (almost crapped my pants hoping we wouldn’t go over the edge!). The ranger was great at giving us tips on cool places to go. Was a spacious site and secluded. The only downer is we couldn’t have a fire, but safety first. We had a great night!

The lake was suffering from a drought (even after a good amount of rain while I was there). The road up into the mountain is were the real scenic views are. Waterfalls and caves are in the back, and worth exploring.

Great Views, clean area. no trees, just boulders. Maybe have someone pick up the dog poo more often.

With the strong water year, the level is rising quickly. While this is a "reservoir", it is heavily used for recreation. Fishing, non-motorized boating, swimming, etc..
There is a campground nearby that was recently expanded but is not directly connected to the lake. What a shame. This area could be developed just a bit more to accommodate more activities.

We camped here for three nights. I wouldn't call it a lake... not even by Moab standards. But the campground was clean, quiet and so dark at night. It was a great home while we were there exploring. Quick to town, too.

We drove here from
Moab thinking it would be a fun restful and not so hot way to spend an afternoon. The lake is so evaporated you’d have to walk a mile to the beach area! We then tried the water access option but the rocky road was so awful we turned around. Perhaps this lake needs the winter snow melt to be fun??

A small reservoir just out of Moab. Nice place to relax and camp or just spend the day. Cab be a place to catch some fish, if you are so inclined.

There are no grills or fire pits at the lake itself. There is a campground nearby that has fire pits.
