Ken's Campground is nice and quiet!
May 2021
I stayed here in early 2019 and I LOVED it! No hookups, no water, electricity, but plenty of space, the layout was great, they have bathrooms that are clean. I do not understand those that ding it for something it doesn't have, such as the comment about no water, or burrs their dog picked up - the campground cannot control that.
If you are looking for a clean, decent place to stay, this is one to consider.

Don't take your dogs here
May 2021 • Couples
Although the trails are nice the cockleburrs are horrendous. I would not take my dogs there again. We spent 2 hours bathing and grooming the dogs after visiting

Sad little lake, very exposed campsites, no water.
Apr. 2021
This campground is only ok. Pluses: bathrooms kept very clean and sites spaced very far apart. Negatives, no running water, no trees in many sites, very exposed to sun and wind. The little lake is sad; recent droughts have depleted it. You are about 10 miles from downtown Moab, so remember to bring lots of water. The picture used by trip advisor is not taken at the lake, but somewhere well above it. You might as well save your $20 and camp somewhere on public land, especially if you have a van or RV and don't need the shi%%er.

Ken's Lake

We saw this lake at the end of our drive down La Sal Loop which we started off of Highway 128. It's a body of water that is not large with no trees. We didn't stop here though.

Great Views, clean area. no trees, just boulders. Maybe have someone pick up the dog poo more often.

Great camping. However, too many inconsiderate adam henrys running their generators past the 8 pm cutoff. Host needs to do a better job of enforcing this rule.

A LAKE in the High Dessert!???!
Aug. 2019
Can you imagine that? A lake right here in the almost 5000 feet elevation... thanks to Mr Ken who gave his name to this lake. We all go here every summer, walking the dogs, soaking our feet, swimming, paddling, fishing, or training our new river guides etc..

Not big, but still lots of fun
Jul. 2019
Ok, so the lake isn't huge, but it was still a great place to spend an afternoon with family. We traveled here during a trip to Moab and had a great time at the lake. The water was high and there was plenty of beach even though there were several other families there that day. We brought our kayaks and loved paddling around the lake which was calm and clear and not too cold. Our kids snorkeled and played in the water and just had a great time -- especially after we had spent a couple of days hiking in Canyonlands nearby. We also drove a little to the east to the manmade "waterfall" you can see from the road. There are some really great spots to play in the water as the river comes down the face of the mountain. We had a great time.

So much potential!
May 2019 • Family
With the strong water year, the level is rising quickly. While this is a "reservoir", it is heavily used for recreation. Fishing, non-motorized boating, swimming, etc..
There is a campground nearby that was recently expanded but is not directly connected to the lake. What a shame. This area could be developed just a bit more to accommodate more activities.
