Oh how I would love to be laid to rest here at this site. It is a most peaceful and beautiful spot surrounded by Antietam National Battlefield. Pictures here do not give justice to the serene and tranquil feeling you get when visiting.

This was a very humbling visit. I would recommend a stop during the battlefield driving tour. This is a very quiet and respectful area.

My group visited the Antietam National Cemetery at the end of our Antietam National Battlefield Tour. It is definitely worth a visit! Park Rangers had a lot of interesting stories and facts about some the soldiers that are buried in the cemetery.
