Found it unique that the museum is manned by history student majors at Tusculum College. The displays that hold his valuable items were hand made by many of these students. Easy to walk and tour alone or ask for assistance, every thing is labeled well. Learned that Andrew Johnson went back to Washington as a Senator after his Presidency. Campus... More

This is a very nicely done historical site. The Visitor Center is helpful at pointing out the several sites to see. It also has a nice short film and interesting displays on what led him to be picked as the VP for Lincoln. This is also where you get the free tickets to tour the house, which is just a... More

We learned so much "lost" history just by touring this site. This is recommended for a rainy, cool day.

This museum is in Greeneville TN and still has the original furnishing of the Andrew Johnson era. It is similar to Andrew Jackson's Hermitage in Nashville, but you get to see more of the actual rooms and furnishing. The park ranger gave an excellent interpretation of the site.

Very nice tour conducted by park ranger. This is something you have to experience to enjoy. My wife got a wasp sting and the ranger was right on it with a remedy ...... Loved our tour

Interesting man, more so than I'd realized previously. The 1851 Homestead is well preserved. Early home of marginal interest, but a good Johnson personal & political chronology on placards inside. His tailor shop is the most interesting-it's inside the Visitor Center.

My family took a road trip and decided to pick random historical markers to see. This was a surprise for the kids to see. The whole family enjoyed it. The team of tour guides were amazing and added to.my sons love of presidents.

When you visit Greeneville, be sure you include this spot. The exhibits are enjoyable. The maps provided by the town do not lead you here so it is hard to find

Wonderful artifacts in the museum. Nice rangers. Loved the tour of the main house! We were there on a Sunday and my family had a personal tour! It is amazing to realize you have walked where a President did!
